Over 20 years ago, The Coleman’s hosted the 1st Marriage Conference for 5th Street Baptist Church at a local hotel in Oklahoma City. It began with 10 couples. A year later, under the leadership of Rodney and Zhonda Viney, an official church ministry was formed and the marriage conference became the “Love Lab”.

 

Today, we welcome over 100 registered couples, from all around the country to celebrate Godly marriages. 

The Love Lab marriage conference has been held in different locations, including Oklahoma City, Houston, Dallas and Tulsa.  In 2013, we experienced an upsurge in registration from across the country when we featured Chante’ Moore, nationally recording artist, as the artist highlight and changed the hotel to the Westin Galleria Hotel in Dallas, TX.  Since then we have invited other recording artists including Kindred The Family Soul and Avery*Sunshine. We've also featured world-renowned guest speakers including relationship specialist, Dr. Alduan Tartt, a clinical psychologist, known for his appearances on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. 

Although this began as a church ministry with just 10 couples and had a standard showing of 20-25 couples in years to follow, we have increased attendance over 75% within the past five years.  This event has welcomed attendees from all across the country including couples from Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, Phoenix, Little Rock, New Orleans, Killeen, Dallas, Tulsa and Oklahoma City.  We are extremely proud to facilitate this retreat and the progress we have made over the years.
